We visited an original mine, underground homes (no heating or aircon needed...constant 20-25 degrees temp all year round), and stayed in an underground hotel room...the boys were thrilled!
We drove out to the 'moonscape' where movies such as mad max and Priscilla were filmed. We also marveled at the dog fence 5000km long, dividing northern dingos from the sheep in the south.

We also visited the wacky home of 'crocodile harry'. Although he died in 2006 his spirit definitely lives on in his underground home...decorated with all things wild and wonderful. His life as a real croc hunter inspired the character for the movie 'crocodile dundee' and his underground 'grotto' was used in the movie mad max beyond thunder dome.
We waved goodbye to Coober Pedy yesterday, and drove for 8 hours to Uluru...we hope to cycle around it today.

Hi Turveys! We were very excited to read your blog today in class. Coober Pedy looks very cool and awesome. Declan wants to go to an underground hotel. How was it living underground? We are learning about Asia at school. Did you know there are about 50 countries in Asia? How is the weather? It's very cold here. The asphalt oval has been dug up but we can go on the green oval everyday! Kaizer is double her size and she's tall and skinny now! Declan is back from his holiday and he caught 3 fish. The boy’ss basketball team is training hard and will try and get a win on Friday.
P.s Ki still likes pancakes (from Christian).

Hi Harry and Turvey family. We had alot of fun looking at and readin your blog. It looks like you are having alot of fun. Some of the kids really want to go to all these wonderful places including me. We miss you at school and are looking forward to seeing some more pictures of all your adventures.
